Job summary

Datacenter People is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead manufacturing processes and drive productivity in a dynamic data-center hardware environment.

The role oversees budgets, staffing, training, NPI support, and continuous improvement initiatives, partnering with design and operations to meet KPIs and cost targets. Travel up to 25% may be required, including international assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in manufacturing/engineering leadership.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate tasks effectively.
• Experience applying cost/benefit analyses to proposals.
• Proven ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage department budgets, staffing, performance reviews, and training development.
• Develop, monitor, and report on test engineering performance metrics and KPIs.
• Coordinate projects to ensure timely and successful completion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and commitments.
• Develop test specifications, project scopes, and objectives with stakeholders.
• Analyse processes, resources, and documentation to identify improvements.
• Monitor and improve FPY testing performance.
• Promote a positive, results-driven team culture and urgency.
• Foster a safe, clean, and organized work environment and proper equipment use.
• Coordinate manufacturing support for NPI in domestic and international facilities.
• Oversee engineering activities related to manufacturing processes and product change management.
• Establish and maintain production standards, methods, and best practices.
• Maintain workflow efficiency by monitoring processes, variables, and reporting systems.
• Support major projects including plant layout changes and capital equipment installations.
• Identify, recommend and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Partner with Design Engineers to enhance manufacturability and quality.
• Conduct regular team meetings and provide performance feedback.
