Job summary

J&T Express in Jakarta is seeking an Assistant Manager - Warehouse (Mandarin Speaker) to bridge communication between China HQ and local warehouse teams. You will interpret, translate, and translate operational documents, and help convey work priorities and performance expectations to staff.

The role requires Mandarin proficiency, warehouse experience, and the ability to coordinate across functions in a fast-paced environment. Based in Cakung, East Jakarta.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Proficient in Mandarin to communicate with China HQ.
• Experience in warehouse operations or logistics; supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily Mandarin-Indonesian interpretation during warehouse operations and meetings.
• Translate operational instructions, SOPs, and reports between Mandarin and Indonesian.
• Coordinate with HQ and local teams to relay assignments and priorities.
• Support communication of progress, issues, and corrective actions between management and staff.
• Prepare daily updates, meeting minutes, and reports for HQ communication.

Assistant Manager - Warehouse (Mandarin Speaker)

Location: Cakung, East Jakarta, Indonesia

Job Description

• Provide daily Mandarin-Indonesian interpretation & translation support during warehouse operations, including meetings, briefings, and discussions between Chinese management and local operational teams.
• Translate operational instructions, announcements, reports, SOPs, and other warehouse-related documents between Mandarin and Indonesian.
• Assist Chinese management in communicating daily work assignments, operational priorities, and performance expectations to local warehouse teams.
• Coordinate with warehouse supervisors and staff to clarify instructions between Head Office and Operational team, and ensure proper implementation of operational directives.
• Support daily follow-ups between Chinese management and local teams regarding operational progress, pending issues, and corrective actions.
• Prepare and translate daily operational updates, meeting minutes, and reports for communication between HQ and the local warehouse team.
• Assist in communicating warehouse procedures, workflow changes, and new operational policies introduced by HQ.
• Support coordination between HQ and local warehouse departments to ensure smooth communication and alignment of operational activities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• Proficient in Mandarin, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with China HQ.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, or a related field; supervisory or managerial experience is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting.
• Able to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to be placed in Cakung, East Jakarta, Indonesia.
