Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mandarin Translator role based in Kendal. The Mandarin Translator will provide accurate oral and written translation between Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia/English for meetings, documents, emails, and operational reports. Responsibilities include supporting daily communication between local and Mandarin-speaking teams, interpreting during internal and external meetings, and translating technical and business documentation related to the company's operations. The role also involves reviewing translated materials for accuracy and consistency, maintaining terminology databases, and collaborating with different departments to ensure clear, timely information flow. The Mandarin Translator is expected to support administrative and coordination tasks related to translation needs and uphold confidentiality of all company information.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia, with good English skills for written and verbal communication.
• Proven experience in translation and interpretation, preferably in a corporate, industrial, or energy-related environment.
• Ability to understand and translate technical terms, business documents, and operational procedures accurately.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple translation requests under tight timelines.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams on-site.
• Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Comfort with basic office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email) and willingness to learn company-specific systems.
• Relevant educational background in Languages, Translation, Linguistics, or related field; professional translation certification is an advantage.
