Job summary

PT Chenyu Construction Group is seeking a skilled translator/interpreter to bridge communication between our local and Chinese teams. The role involves translating documents and interpreting during meetings, negotiations, and daily operations.

Mandarin proficiency (HSK 4+) and strong English communication are required; Bahasa Indonesia is a plus. You will support bilingual reporting and maintain strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in any field is required.
• Strong Mandarin (oral and written) with HSK 4 or higher.
• Good English communication; Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
• 1–2 years of translator/interpreter experience preferred; fresh grads with strong Mandarin welcome.

Responsibilities

• Translate documents, contracts, reports, emails, and materials between Mandarin, English and Indonesian with high accuracy.
• Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation during meetings, negotiations, and client discussions.
• Assist Chinese expatriates with daily operational and communication needs.
• Ensure correct use of technical, legal, and business terminology to avoid misinterpretation.
• Prepare bilingual reports, presentations, and meeting minutes.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

This position requires attention to detail, professionalism, and flexibility to work in both office and project environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• · Translate documents, contracts, reports, emails, and company materials from Mandarin to English/Indonesian and vice versa with high accuracy.
• · Provide interpretation (simultaneous and consecutive) during internal meetings, negotiations, and discussions with clients, vendors, and partners.
• · Assist Chinese expatriates in daily operational and communication needs.
• · Ensure the correct use of technical, legal, and business terminology to avoid misinterpretation.
• · Support the preparation of bilingual reports, presentations, and meeting minutes.
• · Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive company information with professionalism.
• · Act as a communication bridge to facilitate effective cross-cultural collaboration between local and Chinese teams.

Requirements:

• · Minimum Bachelor Degree (S1) in any major.
• · Strong command of Mandarin (oral and written) with HSK Level 4 or above (mandatory).
• · Good communication skills in English (fluency in three languages: Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Indonesia will be a plus).
• · At least 1–2 years of experience as a translator/interpreter (fresh graduates with excellent Mandarin skills are welcome).
• · Skilled in both simultaneous and consecutive interpreting.
• · Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
• · High integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• · Willing to be placed at head office or project sites as required.
