Job summary

MatchaTalent seeks an R&D Formulation Manager – Personal Care in Tangerang to lead next-generation skincare, haircare, and body care formulations. You will drive scratch formulas, oversee lab trials, and manage scale-up from pilot to mass production, coordinating with QA/QC, Production, and Procurement.

The role requires strong emulsion technology, rapid decision-making, and a strategic mindset to ensure regulatory compliance (BPOM Indonesia) and successful product launches in Asia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cosmetology or Chemical Engineering).
• 7–10+ years hands-on formulation experience in cosmetic/personal care manufacturing.
• Proven track record developing formulations from scratch, not just optimizing existing ones.
• Experience leading an R&D formulation function at managerial level.
• Strong emulsion, surfactant, active ingredient expertise and formulation validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation research and innovation from concept to production-ready formulas.
• Oversee lab trials, stability testing, and technical validation.
• Manage scale-up from laboratory/pilot to mass production for skincare, haircare, and body care products.
• Develop roadmaps, protocols, and documentation; ensure BPOM Indonesia compliance.
