This full-time role oversees the company’s fixed asset portfolio and tools inventory, including depreciation calculations and asset tracking to ensure accurate financial records and efficient operations.

You will manage depreciation, maintain asset registers, and mentor junior staff, while ensuring compliance with Indonesian accounting standards and tax regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Maximum age 40 years.
• Minimum 3 years in fixed asset or cost accounting.
• Strong knowledge of fixed asset management, depreciation, and valuation.
• Proficient in accounting software and Excel; Indonesian regulations knowledge.

Responsibilities

About the role

CV Cahaya Maju is seeking an experienced Manager FAT (Fixed Assets and Tools) to join our finance team in Surabaya, East Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing the company's fixed asset portfolio and tools inventory. As Manager FAT, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fixed asset management, depreciation calculations, asset tracking, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position is integral to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company's operational efficiency and strategic financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the complete fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisition, valuation, depreciation, and disposal
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date fixed asset registers and reconcile records with the general ledger
• Calculate and record depreciation charges in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
• Conduct regular physical asset verification and inventory counts to ensure system records match actual assets
• Prepare and analyse fixed asset reports for management and stakeholders
• Manage the tools inventory system and track utilisation and maintenance schedules
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in asset records and prepare documentation for adjustments
• Liaise with operational departments to gather information on asset movements and disposals
• Develop and implement improved processes and systems for fixed asset management
• Provide training and guidance to junior accounting staff on asset management procedures

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Maximum age 40 years.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting or cost accounting roles
• Strong knowledge of fixed asset management principles, depreciation methods, and asset valuation
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Excellent understanding of Indonesian accounting standards and tax regulations
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assets and maintain detailed records with precision
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with inventory management systems is highly desirable
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring junior accounting staff
• Knowledge of internal control frameworks and audit procedures
