Job summary

APRIL in Indonesia seeks a Maintenance Planner to plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities (preventive, predictive, and corrective) to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support production targets in a safe, cost-effective manner.

You will develop maintenance schedules from CMMS/SAP-PM, plan resources, coordinate with production and procurement, and monitor KPIs; experience in pulp & paper or process industries preferred, with strong Excel/Power BI skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years in Maintenance Planner/Reliability roles in process industries preferred.
• CMMS/EAM experience (SAP PM/Maximo).
• Knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance concepts and RC/M impact.
• Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills.
• Excel; Power BI familiarity is a plus.

Job description

Responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all maintenance activities (preventive, predictive, and corrective) to ensure optimal equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support production targets in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain maintenance schedules (daily, weekly, monthly) based on work orders from the CMMS/SAP-PM system.
• Plan resources needed for maintenance jobs — manpower, spare parts, tools, materials, and permits (work permits, LOTO, confined space, etc.).
• Coordinate with production, operations, and warehouse/procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment shutdown windows.
• Create detailed job plans including task sequence, estimated duration, required skills, and safety precautions.
• Monitor and update work order status, backlog, and maintenance KPIs (schedule compliance, wrench time, PM compliance, MTTR/MTBF).
• Analyze equipment history and failure data to recommend improvements to preventive maintenance plans.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards and company policies.
• Prepare reports on maintenance performance, cost tracking, and spare parts usage.
• Liaise with vendors/contractors for outsourced maintenance jobs when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (D3/S1) in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Maintenance Planner, Reliability Engineer, or similar role — experience in pulp & paper, manufacturing, or process industry preferred.
• Proficient with CMMS/EAM systems (SAP PM, Maximo, or similar).
• Strong understanding of preventive/predictive maintenance concepts and reliability principles (RCM, FMEA is a plus).
• Good analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Project; familiarity with Power BI is an advantage.
• Willing to be based in Pangkalan Kerinci, Riau.
