Happy Hope Preschool in Jakarta invites a passionate Main Teacher to nurture young learners through a blend of fitrah-based education, Islamic values, play-based learning, and an international curriculum. We seek someone with warmth, patience, and a genuine love for early childhood development.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or Psychology, at least four years of preschool teaching experience, and fluency in English. Experience with IEYC/IB preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of preschool teaching experience.
• Experience with IEYC/IB or play-based learning.
• Muslim with good adab and akhlaq, able to incorporate Islamic values.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Warm, patient, collaborative, and passionate about working with young children.

Responsabilités

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning aligned with IEYC and Islamic principles.
• Observe, assess, and document each child’s development.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom where children feel valued.
• Collaborate with Teacher Assistants to maintain routines and meaningful learning.
• Communicate regularly with parents about progress.
• Prepare progress reports and conduct Parent-Teacher Conferences.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and school-wide programs.
• Support children’s emotional, social, moral, and spiritual growth.
• Model adab and akhlaq in interactions with children, colleagues, and parents.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of teaching experience in a preschool or early years setting.
• Experience with or knowledge of international curricula, preferably IEYC (International Early Years Curriculum), IB, and/or play-based learning.
• A practicing Muslim with good adab and akhlaq, and the ability to naturally incorporate Islamic values into daily learning and interactions.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Warm, patient, responsible, collaborative, and genuinely passionate about working with young children.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with IEYC and Islamic principles, including Tawhid.
• Observe, assess, and document each child’s learning and development.
• Create a safe, nurturing, respectful, and stimulating classroom environment where children feel valued and supported.
• Work closely with Teacher Assistants to ensure smooth classroom routines and meaningful learning experiences.
• Build positive and professional relationships with parents and communicate regularly about children's development.
• Prepare student progress reports and conduct effective Parent-Teacher Conferences.
• Organize learning centers, classroom materials, and activities that encourage both independent and guided learning.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, school events, and school-wide programs.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development, and in-house training.
• Support the development of children's fitrah, including their emotional, social, moral, and spiritual growth.
• Model good adab, akhlaq, and Islamic values in daily interactions with children, colleagues, and parents.
