Job summary

Safiro Jewelry in Surabaya is seeking a Jewellery Consultant to join our team and deliver a luxurious, personalized experience for discerning clients. You will listen to each customer’s style, occasion, and budget, guiding them toward pieces that genuinely suit their taste while maintaining trust and discretion.

No jewellery background is required; a passion for design, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to build long-term client relationships are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in sales, retail, luxury, fashion, jewellery, watches, or another customer-facing environment is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with strong interpersonal and communication skills are welcome to apply.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Able to understand customer needs and translate them into suitable recommendations.
• Willing and able to learn about diamonds, jewellery, and luxury products.
• Able to work weekends and public holidays according to the boutique schedule.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English.
• Based in Surabaya or willing to work in Surabaya.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and create a comfortable, professional, and personalized experience.
• Understand the client's preferences, lifestyle, personal style, occasion, and budget.
• Ask the right questions to understand what the client is actually looking for.
• Recommend jewellery based on the client's individual needs rather than simply presenting available products.
• Help clients compare different designs, gemstones, diamonds, materials, and styles.
• Guide clients through the decision-making process without being overly aggressive or transactional.
• Build long-term relationships with clients and become a trusted point of contact for their future jewellery needs.
• Develop strong knowledge of our jewellery collections, natural diamonds, precious metals, and craftsmanship.
• Explain jewellery characteristics and product details clearly and accurately to clients.
• Convert client consultations into successful sales while maintaining the quality of the customer experience.
• Achieve individual and team sales targets.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for repeat purchases, special occasions, and future collections.
• Maintain accurate customer records and follow up appropriately.
• Represent Safiro professionally throughout every client interaction.
• Maintain the presentation and atmosphere of the boutique according to luxury service standards.
• Handle jewellery carefully and follow all inventory, security, and operational procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding client information, pricing, purchases, and company information.
• Support daily boutique operations when required.
