Job summary

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company SA in Jakarta seeks a qualified professional to verify and approve repair estimates (EOR) submitted by repairing vendors and to manage cost and quality control for container maintenance and repair. This role ensures timely delivery of export containers and close coordination with depots and vendors.

The ideal candidate has at least a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in liner/depot logistics, plus excellent English. External applicants are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience; fresh graduates welcome.
• Experience in liner/depot logistics is a plus.
• Excellent English proficiency in speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Verify and approve the estimate of repair (EOR) being submitted by the repairing vendors
• Manage cost and quality controlling for container maintenance and repair
• Timely monitor both internal and external (repairing vendors and depots) productivity to assure sufficient container for export usage
• Conduct proper surveys in depots to control repair quality and MSC is paying appropriate costs
• Communicate directly with the vendors/depots to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas
• Ensure that partners understand and accept Customer guidelines and requirements for all service and repair
• Follow up with container trouble shooting case (container damage prior discharge or reefer container troubleshooting)
