The Logistics Manager runs the day-to-day warehouse, inventory, dispatch, and delivery operation. The role makes sure stock is accurate, orders are prepared and dispatched correctly, routes are workable, and the team completes each shift with clear records and handovers. The role is also responsible for fleet readiness, driver performance, customer freezer assets, logistics costs, and the systems used to record stock and delivery activity.
Key responsibilities
- Run the daily warehouse, inventory, dispatch, and delivery operation
- Keep physical stock aligned with the ERP or BTI system and investigate differences immediately
- Control finished-goods handover from Production, including quantities, product condition, and supporting records
- Turn released customer orders into a daily dispatch plan and confirm that stock, vehicles, and drivers are ready
- Lead warehouse, dispatch, and driver personnel. Allocate work, run briefings, check attendance, follow up training, and maintain work discipline
- Plan delivery routes around customer location, delivery windows, order priority, vehicle capacity, and driver working time
- Keep vehicles available and roadworthy. Follow up inspections, preventive maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, fuel use, kilometres, and maintenance cost
- Maintain the Freezer Asset Register, including asset ID, serial number, model, customer, location, condition, placement date, service history, and movement history
- Follow BTI quality requirements for storage, loading, delivery, and temperature checks
- Prepare daily and weekly reports covering stock accuracy, order fulfilment, delivery performance, fleet, costs, and unresolved issues
About you
- Bachelor's degree (S1) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, transport, fleet, or logistics operations
- Experience running daily warehouse and dispatch operations, controlling stock, planning routes, and leading drivers or warehouse personnel
- Strong working knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, dispatch planning, fleet maintenance, ERP or WMS, and Microsoft Excel
- Able to work on the warehouse and dispatch floor, make practical decisions under pressure, and communicate clearly with Production, Sales, drivers, customers, and suppliers
- Experience in food and beverage distribution, frozen products, cold storage, FMCG, or hospitality supply is preferred
