Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience running daily production, creating plans, allocating manpower, and leading technicians.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily/weekly production plan based on orders, stock, capacity, and priorities.
• Execute plan, adjust schedules, and manage manpower as conditions change.
• Lead production team and ensure shift handovers, training, and discipline.
• Set daily targets for volume, cycles, quality, and records completion.
• Monitor output vs plan; track yield, downtime, losses, and issues.
• Ensure safe operation, startup/shutdown, inspections, and cleaning.

Job description

The Production Engineer owns and runs the daily production operation. The role develops the production plan, leads its execution, controls manpower and machine priorities, monitors output and quality, and ensures that each shift is completed safely and properly handed over. The role also owns the maintenance and reliability of production machinery, refrigeration, HVAC, MEP systems, water treatment, and supporting utilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the daily and weekly production plan based on confirmed orders, stock requirements, machine capacity, manpower, and delivery priorities
• Execute the production plan and adjust machine schedules, batch priorities, and manpower when conditions change
• Lead the Production Lead, operators, and support crew, including daily work allocation, shift briefing, handover, attendance follow-up, training, task completion, and work discipline
• Set clear daily targets for production volume, machine cycles, product quality, housekeeping, and completion of production records
• Monitor actual output against plan, including yield, cycle time, downtime, rejected product, production losses, and unresolved operational issues
• Ensure machines are operated correctly and that start‑up, shutdown, inspection, cleaning, and safety requirements are followed
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for production machinery, refrigeration, HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, pumps, water treatment, and other MEP systems
• Respond to breakdowns and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control‑system faults directly on the production floor
• Identify the root cause of recurring failures, implement corrective actions, and verify that the failure does not return
• Maintain equipment inspections, service histories, maintenance schedules, breakdown reports, manuals, and corrective‑action records

About you

• Bachelor's degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Refrigeration, Electromechanical Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in manufacturing operations, industrial maintenance, MEP, HVAC, industrial refrigeration, facility engineering, or a related technical environment
• Proven experience running daily production, developing production plans, allocating manpower, and leading operators or technicians
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, HVAC, controls, pumps, motors, compressors, and production equipment
• Working knowledge of preventive maintenance, root‑cause analysis, production reporting, commissioning, technical documentation, and spare‑parts planning
• Able to work directly on the production floor, make practical decisions under pressure, and communicate clearly with operators, managers, suppliers, and contractors
• Experience in food and beverage manufacturing, ice production, cold storage, FMCG, water treatment, or industrial utilities is an advantage
