Allure Industries is a leading innovator in aluminum doors, windows, partitions, and architectural systems in Indonesia. As we continue to expand our production capacity and maintain the highest quality standards for our architectural products, operational excellence on the factory floor plays a critical role in delivering superior finished goods to our clients.
Supervise and lead the daily operations of the coating line—specifically focusing on the pretreatment process, application of liquid coatings (rather than standard powder), curing/oven processes, and final coating quality inspections—to ensure production output consistently meets strict standards for film thickness, gloss, adhesion, and weather resistance according to company and international specifications (AAMA Standards). This role leads a team of shift operators, monitors high-temperature oven and process parameter precision, controls the efficient consumption of premium coating materials, and strictly enforces HSE (K3) and 5S discipline on the Allure Industries shop floor.
Responsibilities
- Line Leadership & Production Targets: Lead the shift operator team, assign daily tasks, and manage operational schedules to meet daily output targets (FPPP) and production timelines.
- Pretreatment Process Supervision: Oversee the aluminum pretreatment stages (degreasing, etching, chromatin/rinsing) with high precision prior to coating to guarantee absolute surface cleanliness.
- Liquid Coating Application & Oven Parameters: Control 2-coat or 3-coat system applications (primer, base coat, clear coat/fluoropolymer), including viscosity, spray pattern, and film thickness (25–30 microns), while ensuring metal temperature in the curing oven is precisely maintained at ±232°C (preventing under-curing or over-curing).
- Quality Control & Defect Troubleshooting: Perform instrument-based quality inspections (gloss meter, thickness gauge, color matching, cross-cut adhesion test) and execute rapid troubleshooting on coating defects (orange peel, bubbling, sagging, color variation, delamination).
- Material Management & Hazardous Materials (B3): Control premium coating material consumption to minimize waste, manage chemical/solvent storage according to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and handle hazardous waste (B3) properly.
- Equipment Maintenance & HSE: Perform basic maintenance on spray guns, booths, exhaust systems, and ovens to minimize downtime, and enforce the use of PPE and safety procedures in chemical/paint areas.
- Administration, Reporting, & SOP Compliance: Compile daily production, downtime, and reject rate reports, and strictly supervise SOP compliance across the operator team.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate tactically with Supervisors, QC, PPIC, and Maintenance teams to resolve technical issues or operational target shifts promptly.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Engineering (Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field).
- Minimum of 4 years of working experience in industrial/manufacturing painting or coating production.
- In-depth understanding of aluminum pretreatment processes (degreasing, etching, chromatins) and 2-coat/3-coat liquid coating applications (fluoropolymer).
- Proficient in setting high-temperature curing oven parameters (around 232°C metal temperature) and understanding coating quality testing standards (AAMA standards, thickness, gloss, cross-cut test).
- Familiar with chemical/solvent MSDS, hazardous waste management (B3), and safety procedures (K3) in chemical/paint environments.
- Strong leadership, communication skills, field troubleshooting capabilities, and strict adherence to SOPs.
