Lead Utilities Engineer – Phase 3 Manufacturing

Job summary

PT WIK Far East Batam is seeking an experienced FM technical lead to manage Phase 3 utilities across power distribution, cooling water, cooling towers, compressed air, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC and building services at our Batam site.

You will define utility requirements with Molding and PIE, review designs, issue technical comments, prepare RFQs, supervise on-site works, and drive testing, commissioning, and handover while ensuring HSE and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in manufacturing in a similar FM lead role.
• Experience with plastic injection molding or die casting utilities.
• Experience in an MNC or regional HQ environment with foreign project managers.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian environmental and safety regulations.
• Exposure to energy efficiency, LEED or ISO 14001/45001 systems.
• Experience in Batam estates and with PLN Batam.

Responsibilities

• Define utility requirements for 13 units of 400 T machines with Molding/PIE and ensure readiness before arrival.
• Review design consultant/MEP drawings, load calcs and BOQs; raise comments and value‑engineering options.
• Prepare technical specs, RFQs and vendor comparisons; support Purchasing in evaluation and award.
• Supervise on‑site contractors: schedule, method statements, permits, and HSE compliance.
• Lead testing/commissioning, punch lists, as‑built drawings, and handover into FM maintenance.
• Track utility risks (long-lead items, PLN capacity, permits) and report in meetings.
