Job summary

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR) is seeking a Technical Support Manager for 2nd line fault finding and delivering prompt, safe solutions. The role focuses on in-depth technical ownership across customer sites, developing new solutions, and guiding sales teams on operating-cost considerations.

The position is based in Indonesia, Philippines, Mongolia, Malaysia or Singapore, with up to 50% travel within the Sales Area.

Qualifications

Minimum 6–10 years of Sandvik equipment experience and advanced troubleshooting experience.
Qualified technician in mechanics, hydraulics and electrics.
Interest in new technology and digitalization trends.
Proven ability to motivate and guide team members and deliver effective training.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong team-player.

Responsibilities

Perform systematic fault finding and provide prompt, correct, and safe solutions (2nd line support).
Collect technical feedback and input into the database; make recommendations to improve processes.
Carry out adjustments on client equipment systems; develop new solutions to prevent recurring problems.
Provide application advice to sales and review operating cost proposals; support NPD with technical details.
Lead and train others; collaborate with Parts & Services to train in relevant Sales Areas.
Ensure activities comply with SHEQ rules and promote safety awareness.
