Job summary

PT. HITACHI SAKTI ENERGY INDONESIA is seeking an experienced Primary Engineer to lead the design and engineering of high-voltage substations and primary electrical systems for EPC, utility, renewable energy, or industrial projects.

You will prepare SLDs, layouts, grounding designs, and specifications, while performing feasibility studies and engineering calculations to support project execution. Strong collaboration with project managers, customers, and suppliers is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in primary engineering within transmission, distribution, or utility-scale power projects.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage substations, switchgear, transformers, busbar arrangements, grounding systems, and electrical plant design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of high-voltage substations and primary electrical systems, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with customer specifications.
• Prepare and review engineering deliverables including single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, grounding designs, and technical specifications.
• Perform technical assessments, feasibility studies, and engineering calculations to support project execution.
• Collaborate with project managers, customers, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve project objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Support equipment selection, procurement activities, and technical bid evaluations.
• Identify engineering risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Hitachi Energy quality processes.
