Job summary

Tripledot Studios is seeking a Lead Level Designer to own the vision and end-to-end level design for one or more casual games. You’ll lead a team of designers, stay hands-on with level creation, and drive concepts through playtesting to final polish.

You’ll collaborate with Art, Product, Development, and Tech Art, using player feedback and game data to improve the experience and establish best practices. Hybrid work supported.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in game design with at least 1 year in a lead or senior role.
• Strong understanding of player psychology, pacing, challenge, and reward systems.
• Experience working with Unity and basic Excel or balancing tools.
• Prototype with AI tools (Claude, Gemini, Codex).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience mentoring designers is a strong plus.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision and quality of level design across one or more casual titles.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of level designers—guiding their creative work and helping them grow.
• Drive the full level design process from concept to final polish, ensuring levels are engaging, balanced, and in line with business and design goals.
• Set standards, best practices, and pipelines for level creation, playtesting, and iteration.
• Partner closely with art, product, and development teams to define feature requirements, tools, and production needs.
• Analyze game data and feedback to identify trends, opportunities, and pain points—using this insight to inform decisions.
• Promote rapid prototyping, playtesting, and feedback-driven iteration while contributing ideas and improvements to new and existing projects.
• Collaborate with tech artists and engineers to improve and expand level design tools.
