Job summary

Tripledot Studios Limited in Jakarta is seeking a highly creative Lead Concept Artist to shape the visual identity of AAA title projects. You will lead a team of concept artists, set artistic direction, and deliver top-tier concepts for characters, environments, and props.

The role blends artistic mastery with leadership, requires a strong portfolio and knowledge of game art pipelines, and offers a hybrid work model across in-office and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Illustration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 7 years of concept art experience for video games, with at least 3 years in lead/senior roles.
• Proven portfolio with AAA titles across genres.
• Expert proficiency in digital art software (Photoshop, Procreate).
• Strong understanding of anatomy, perspective, color theory, and composition.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of concept artists, providing clear direction and feedback.
• Define and maintain the overall visual style and aesthetic for game projects.
• Create high-quality concept art for characters, environments, props, and key visuals.
• Collaborate with designers, art directors, and 3D modelers to realize artistic vision.
• Develop mood boards, style guides, and visual targets for direction.
• Research industry trends in game art and concept design.
• Participate in art reviews and provide constructive criticism.
• Troubleshoot artistic challenges and find creative solutions.
• Manage the concept art pipeline ensuring timely delivery of assets.
