Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a seasoned Commissioning (CX) Engineer for data center projects in Indonesia. You will plan, coordinate, and lead end-to-end commissioning across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and BMS systems, ensuring performance aligns with design specs and industry standards.

You will manage FAT, SAT, IST, and pre/post-commissioning activities, develop test scripts, supervise technicians, and collaborate with clients, consultants, and vendors to hand over fully ready facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data center commissioning or mission-critical facility commissioning.
• Proven experience leading commissioning activities for large-scale data center projects.
• Knowledge of FAT, SAT, FPT, IST, and commissioning documentation.
• Solid knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire protection, BMS, and integrated MEP systems.
• Willing to travel frequently and work evenings/weekends as required.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commissioning strategies, master test plans, and detailed test scripts.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, and IST.
• Prepare commissioning documentation, testing procedures, and method statements.
• Define commissioning equipment requirements and testing tools.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and testing vendors.
• Lead on-site commissioning activities across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and BMS.
• Supervise subcontractors and testing teams during testing and validation.
• Conduct IST, power failure simulations, and performance testing.
• Identify issues, manage punch lists, and verify resolutions before handover.
• Serve as primary technical liaison with clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare commissioning reports and final acceptance records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, timely delivery.
