Job summary
Grab is seeking a Lead Engineer in the Build Automation team to shape and improve CI pipelines and local development tools. You will collaborate with Grabbers across teams and departments, driving innovation and mutual support while defining the technical direction of our projects.
Based onsite in Jakarta, you will report to the Engineering Manager II in Singapore, helping transition from monorepo to service-oriented repositories and expanding language/framework support as needed.
Qualifications
- Go and Python programming proficiency.
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with CI/CD concepts and GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of Nix, build isolation and reproducibility.
- Professional experience with AWS.
- Experience with observability tools (DataDog, Kibana, Grafana).
- Experience creating detailed technical documentation.
- Experience troubleshooting issues with users.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine GitLab CI pipelines and the Go/Python tools they depend on.
- Enhance tools for local environment setup and reproducible builds.
- Engage with users to gather requirements and provide technical support.
- Collaborate with the team to align tools with evolving project needs.
- Develop solutions to improve CI tools usability.
