Job summary

Grab is seeking a Backend Software Engineer, Go, to join the Fulfilment Platform Engineering Team in South Jakarta, Indonesia. You will design and build high-throughput services, scale systems, and mentor junior engineers while delivering reliable, on-call operations.

You will work on distributed systems, cloud architecture, and automation to improve performance, availability, and efficiency across Grab's driver and marketplace platforms in Southeast Asia.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering in a distributed systems environment.
• Proficiency in Golang and its ecosystem.
• Experience with operational excellence and site reliability.
• Strong CS fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.

Responsibilities

• Design and write Go services to improve availability, latency, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers on scalable design/architecture.
• Participate in code/design reviews to uphold standards.
• Engage in capacity planning, performance analysis, and tuning.
• Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to peers.
