Employed by PT Triple-E, placed with one of our clients
Responsible for the availability, capacity and safe operation of the electrical infrastructure supporting the high-density GPU racks and cooling systems. The scope is limited to power inside the data hall (PDUs, busways and rack power feeds), while switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, ATS/STS and upstream distribution are covered by the data center operator's engineers. Working together with those engineers, investigates electrical alarms and power-quality issues, monitors capacity and redundancy, performs preventive maintenance and testing, manages electrical switching and failover procedures, and coordinates incident resolution and escalation to L3/OEM support to minimize the risk of GPU service interruption.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Facilities Engineering or an equivalent recognized technical qualification.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining mission-critical electrical systems, preferably in data centers, semiconductor facilities, hospitals, telecommunications facilities or other 24×7 critical environments.
- Working knowledge of LV power distribution (PDUs, busways, rack power feeds and breakers), plus an understanding of switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators and ATS/STS.
- Experience with high-density GPU rack power or data center power distribution is highly desirable.
- Able to interpret single-line diagrams, electrical drawings, equipment schematics and BMS/EPMS alarms and trends.
- Able to investigate electrical alarms and power-quality issues (voltage, current, harmonics, load imbalance, breaker trips) using power meters and analyzers.
- Understanding of electrical redundancy (such as N+1, 2N and A/B feeds) and switching/failover procedures for mission-critical environments.
- Familiarity with SOP, MOP, EOP, preventive maintenance and testing, LOTO and electrical safety, change management, incident management and root-cause analysis (RCA).
- Willing and able to provide 24×7 shift/on-call support and respond to critical facility incidents.
- An electrical competency certification (e.g. K3 Listrik) is an advantage, and OEM training can be provided after joining.
Job responsibilities
- Keep the data hall power distribution (PDUs, busways and rack power feeds) available and safe for the high-density GPU racks and cooling systems.
- Investigate electrical alarms and power-quality issues.
- Monitor electrical capacity and redundancy, and flag risks before they affect GPU services.
- Perform preventive maintenance and testing.
- Manage electrical switching and failover procedures.
- Work together with the data center operator's engineers, who cover switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, ATS/STS and upstream distribution.
- Coordinate incident resolution and escalate to L3/OEM support to minimize the risk of GPU service interruption.
