Job summary

PT Leap Digital Indonesia is seeking a L1 Data Centre Operator to support day-to-day data centre operations, including infrastructure monitoring, initial diagnostics, and incident management in a 24x7 shift-based setting.

You will work with technical teams and vendors to maintain reliable operations, perform on-site support, and ensure accurate ticketing and handovers in the ITSM system.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in data centre or IT infra operations.
• Hands-on rack, cabling, power, and environmental checks.
• Familiar with x86 servers and remote management tools.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms.
• Familiar with ITSM/ticketing systems and incident handling.
• Willing to work rotating 24x7 shifts, including nights and holidays.

Job description

The L1 Data Centre Operator is responsible for supporting day-to-day data centre operations, including infrastructure monitoring, initial troubleshooting, on-site operational support, and incident management. The role operates within a 24x7 shiftbased environment and works closely with technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to maintain reliable and efficient data centre operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform 24x7 monitoring of data centre infrastructure, including compute, cooling, power, and network environments.
• Monitor and respond to system alerts, perform initial diagnostics, and elevate incidents to the appropriate technical teams based on established procedures and service levels.
• Create, classify, update, and maintain incidents, service requests, and changes through the designated ITSM/ticketing system.
• Perform hands‑on data centre support activities, including rack‑and‑stack, cabling and patching checks, equipment status verification, console access, and support for on‑site technical teams or vendors.
• Conduct routine physical inspections of the data centre environment, including temperature, humidity, cooling systems, leak detection, power feeds, PDU, and alarm systems.
• Support asset and media handling, equipment movement, and data centre access activities in accordance with security and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate ticket records, shift handover notes, operational logs, and daily/shift reports.
• Support SLA and service availability reporting and coordinate with relevant technical teams to ensure timely resolution of operational issues.

Qualifications

Must-Have Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in data centre operations, IT infrastructure operations, or a related technical environment.
• Hands‑on experience with data centre operations, including racking, structured cabling, equipment checks, power, cooling, and environmental monitoring.
• Familiarity with x86 server hardware and remote server management or console tools.
• Experience using infrastructure monitoring and alerting tools for operational monitoring and incident detection.
• Experience with ITSM/ticketing systems and basic incident and service request management.
• Basic understanding of operational procedures, troubleshooting, escalation, and service‑level requirements.
• Willingness to work on a rotating 24x7 shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays where required.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia with working proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with GPU servers, GPU infrastructure, or high‑density data centre environments.
• Exposure to GPU monitoring or telemetry.
• Experience with monitoring platforms such as NVIDIA DCGM, Grafana/Prometheus, SolarWinds, Nagios, or Zabbix.
• Familiarity with ManageEngine ITSM.
• Understanding of ITIL‑based incident and request management.
• ITIL 4 Foundation, CompTIA Server+, equivalent OEM hardware certification, or NVIDIA NCA‑AIIO certification is an advantage.
