Job summary

Vyntrapro Innovations seeks an L2 HVAC Engineer to maintain the reliability of data center cooling infrastructure, focusing on CDUs and secondary cooling loops. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and manage redundancy and failover with cross-functional teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with mission-critical HVAC systems, ability to interpret P&IDs and BMS trends, and willingness to provide 24/7 on-call support. OEM knowledge is a plus.

Job description

Role Summary

The L2 HVAC Engineer is responsible for maintaining the reliable operation and performance of AI data center cooling infrastructure, specifically CDUs and secondary cooling loops. The role involves monitoring and troubleshooting cooling parameters, preventive and corrective maintenance, managing cooling redundancy and failover, and coordinating with BDx engineers, L1 technicians, IT teams, and OEM specialists during cooling incidents.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• 35 years of hands-on experience in mission-critical HVAC/cooling systems, preferably in data centers or other 247 critical environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of chillers, cooling towers/dry coolers, pumps, heat exchangers, CRAH/AHU systems, valves, piping, and BMS controls.
• Experience with liquid cooling systems, CDUs, secondary cooling loops, or high-density data center cooling.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, equipment schematics, and BMS alarms/trends.
• Troubleshooting experience with temperature, flow, pressure, coolant quality, and leak-detection issues.
• Understanding of cooling redundancy (N+1/2N), maintenance/failover procedures, SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and RCA.
• Willingness to provide 247 shift/on-call support.

Preferred Qualifications

• OEM training or certifications in CDU/liquid-cooling systems would be an advantage.
