Lewis Personnel Management is seeking a skilled HVAC engineer to maintain and optimize CDU operation and secondary cooling in a high-density AI/GPU data center setting. The role focuses on reliable cooling system operation, monitoring, and preventive maintenance.
You will read P&IDs and drawings, troubleshoot performance issues, and participate in incident and change management. Onsite, 24x7 support may be required as needed.
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia (Onsite)
Expected Joining Date: Immediate
Schedule: Regular business hours, subject to adjustment based on business needs and operational demand
Responsible for maintaining the reliable operation and performance of AI data center cooling infrastructure, with a specific focus on Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs) and secondary cooling loops. The role supports critical cooling operations in a high-density AI/GPU data center environment.
The L2 HVAC scope is limited to CDUs and secondary cooling loops. BDx engineers handle pumps, heat exchangers, manifolds, and facility cooling systems.
Operate, monitor, and maintain CDUs and secondary cooling loops within the AI data center environment.
Troubleshoot cooling-system issues involving temperature, flow, pressure, differential pressure (DP), valves, water quality, and leak detection.
Interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, and system documentation to support maintenance and troubleshooting.
Monitor cooling performance and respond to alarms, abnormalities, and operational incidents.
Perform preventive maintenance and support corrective maintenance activities.
Follow established SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs when executing operational tasks and system changes.
Support incident management, change management, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement.
Provide 24×7 shift or on-call support as required.
3–5 years of hands‑on experience in mission‑critical HVAC or cooling systems, preferably in data centers or other 24×7 critical environments.
Practical exposure to liquid cooling systems, CDUs, and secondary cooling loops.
Experience troubleshooting cooling-system performance, leaks, and water‑quality issues.
Experience supporting high-density AI/GPU data center cooling environments.
OEM training or certification in CDU or liquid-cooling systems. Training may also be provided after employment.
CDU & Secondary Cooling Loop Operations: Hands‑on knowledge of CDU operations, liquid cooling, secondary cooling loops, and related HVAC components.
Technical Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Ability to read P&IDs and drawings and troubleshoot temperature, flow, pressure, DP, pump, valve, water‑quality, and leak‑detection issues.
Critical Facilities Operations: Knowledge of N+1/2N redundancy, SOP/MOP/EOP procedures, preventive maintenance, incident and change management, and RCA.
