Job summary

AMK Groups is seeking a skilled L2 DC HVAC Engineer on a contract basis in Indonesia to own data center cooling infrastructure, including CRAH/CRAC units, chillers, pumps, and ventilation systems. You will ensure thermal reliability and energy efficiency while adhering to ASHRAE guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, HVAC Technology or related discipline.
• 4–6 years of hands-on HVAC engineering and critical facility cooling experience.
• Operational expertise in data center thermal management and chiller plant operations.
• Knowledge of BMS and automated environmental controls.
• Experience with HVAC diagnostic tools and refrigerant handling certifications.
• Strong preventive maintenance scheduling and safety practices.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder communication skills.
• Legal work authorization and availability for Indonesia contracts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and optimize data center HVAC systems, precision cooling units, chillers, and air handling equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to ASHRAE thermal guidelines and temperature/humidity parameters across all data center spaces.
• Execute routine preventive maintenance, filter replacements, belt adjustments, and refrigerant checks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures, pump malfunctions, and airflow restrictions swiftly.
• Collaborate with facility managers, MEP contractors, and external mechanical vendors during equipment overhauls.
• Configure and monitor building management systems and environmental alarm thresholds.
• Conduct thermal imaging audits and airflow containment assessments to maximize cooling energy efficiency.
• Maintain meticulous technical maintenance logs and service records.
