Job summary

High Five Cafe & Eatery is seeking a Kitchen Leader / CDP / Junior Sous Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, lead during service, and ensure consistent food quality and hygiene. The role requires hands‑on leadership and collaboration with the Front of House team.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of kitchen experience, is disciplined, reliable, and able to perform under pressure while maintaining high standards and kitchen cleanliness. Flexible shifts and weekend work are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience.
• Experience as CDP, Junior Sous Chef, Kitchen Leader, or similar role.
• Able to work flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Strong personal hygiene and attention to detail.
• Basic English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the kitchen team during daily service.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure proper mise en place and smooth kitchen preparation.
• Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Monitor stock, food preparation, and minimize waste.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Coordinate with Front of House for smooth service.
• In‑charge for daily kitchen operations.
