Job summary

Balinest Villas is seeking a Junior Operational Manager to support daily operations across Bali's premier villa portfolio. You will lead supervisors, ensure housekeeping and maintenance standards, and coordinate guest services with Reservations and security teams.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in hospitality or villa operations, strong English, and proven ability to manage multiple villas, schedules and maintenance tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality, villa management or hotel operations.
• Excellent spoken and written English for professional communication.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards, guest services and maintenance.
• Experience managing teams and coordinating daily operational activities.
• Comfortable using computers, Google Sheets and operational management software.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Oversee villa supervisors and ensure adherence to standards.
• Train and coach supervisors at least weekly.
• Monitor housekeeping quality to meet Balinest standards.
• Support supervisors when they are unavailable or on days off.
• Assist other Junior Managers in covering operations as needed.
• Monitor bookings, guest communications and daily villa activities.
• Ensure smooth check-in and check-out procedures.
• Resolve guest complaints and operational issues promptly.
• Escalate major issues to Senior Manager or Reservations when needed.
• Coordinate VIP requests and special arrangements.
• Check with security regarding incidents and guest feedback.
• Organise preventive maintenance (AC, water heater, etc.).
• Coordinate emergency repairs with MEP teams and vendors.
• Block villa calendars during maintenance with Reservations.
• Maintain daily maintenance log for higher management.
• Maintain inventory records for each villa.
• Submit monthly inventory reports to Senior/Area Manager.
• Organise monthly purchasing; avoid unnecessary bulk buys.
• Consult Senior/Area Manager before significant purchases.
• Obtain owner approval for purchases > IDR 2,500,000 via Area Manager.
• Manage petty cash and submit receipts for reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee villa supervisors and ensure they follow company standards.
• Coordinate with Reservations to block villa calendars during maintenance.
• Monitor housekeeping quality and guest satisfaction across villas.
• Coordinate with MEP teams, vendors and contractors for maintenance.
• Handle guest communications and daily villa activities.
• Support supervisors during days off or absences and assist other Junior Managers.
• Ensure smooth guest check-in and check-out procedures and responses to issues.
• Escalate major problems to Senior Manager or Reservations team when needed.
• Organise preventive maintenance and coordinate emergency repairs promptly.
• Maintain logs, inventories and monthly reports for reporting purposes.
• Manage purchasing with approvals and petty cash handling.
