Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
• 2-5 years of professional experience in mine planning, resource estimation, or mining operations (recent graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply).
• Strong understanding of mine planning principles, pit optimisation, and resource scheduling.
• Proficiency in mine planning software packages such as Surpac, MineSight, or equivalent tools.
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to work on-site and undertake fieldwork in a remote mining environment.
• Preferably, experience or familiarity with Indonesian mining operations or tropical climate environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of short-term and long-term mine plans, including scheduling and resource sequencing
• Support geological mapping and resource estimation activities to inform mine planning decisions
• Conduct pit optimisation studies and evaluate mining scenarios to maximise operational efficiency
• Prepare mine planning documentation, technical reports, and presentations for management review
• Collaborate with geologists, surveyors, and operational teams to ensure accurate data collection and integration into mine plans
• Monitor and analyse mining progress against planned schedules and identify variances
• Utilise mine planning software and tools to model mining sequences and pit designs
• Support compliance with mining regulations and safety standards in all planning activities
• Participate in site inspections and field work to validate planning assumptions and gather operational insights
