Job summary

PT ABISHAR TECHNOLOGIES INDONESIA is seeking a Junior IT Network & System Administrator (L1 - Shifting) to join our Jakarta team. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, configure and maintain routers, switches, and Fortigate devices, and ensure security and performance across the network.

This entry-level role offers hands-on experience with TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and GCP networking, while documenting incidents and creating network diagrams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Hands-on experience with TCP/IP protocols, routing, and switching.
• Experience with Fortigate firewalls and FortiSwitch devices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
• Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on network systems to ensure performance and security.
• Monitor network performance, analyze traffic and logs, and diagnose bottlenecks.
• Ensure network security by implementing security policies and maintaining firewalls.
• Create and maintain network diagrams and documentation.
• Escalate complex issues and collaborate with IT teams for seamless operations.
• Provide guidance to L1 support engineers.
• Troubleshoot OS-related issues on Linux and Windows as needed.

Work location: Jakarta

Responsibility

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
• Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on network systems and devices to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Monitor network performance, analyze network traffic and logs, and diagnose bottlenecks or performance issues.
• Ensure network security by implementing security policies and maintaining firewalls.
• Create and maintain network diagrams, update technical documentation, and keep accurate records of incidents and configurations.
• Escalating complex issues and collaborating with other IT teams for seamless operations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to L1 support engineers.
• Managing and troubleshooting non-complex OS Linux and Windows problem.

Requirements

• Has 1-2 years of experience in IT Network Engineer or IT Support.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP protocols, routing protocols, and switching concepts (e.g., VLANs).
• Experience with configuring and managing network devices (router, switch). Fortigate & FortiSwitch brand plus point.
• Knowledge of firewall management, VPNs, and monitoring for security threats using Fortigate.
• Experience with hands-on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), included CloudVPN, Interconnect Partner, CloudNAT, CloudRouter.
• Ability to analyze logs, packet captures, and monitoring data to diagnose issues.
• Familiarity with load balancers for optimizing network traffic.
• Able to work with shifting working hour
