Exploraplay is hiring a full-time Junior Design Architect to join our team in Bintaro, Jakarta. In this role, you will bring unique indoor and outdoor playground environments to life, following projects from initial concept sketches straight through to workshop fabrication. You will collaborate directly with our creative design specialists and our skilled workshop fabrication team of welders, carpenters, and painters.

About the role

We are seeking a talented Junior Designer to join our growing design team at our Pondok Aren, Banten office. This is a contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your interior design skills within a supportive, creative environment. You will work on diverse projects, collaborating with senior designers and clients to bring compelling interior design concepts to life. This role is ideal for someone eager to build a strong foundation in professional interior design practice whilst contributing meaningfully to our project delivery.

Key Responsibilities Project Lifecycles

Support projects hands-on from raw concept sketches to final workshop production.

Global Portfolios

Develop blueprints for high-profile custom indoor and outdoor playgrounds across Indonesia and international markets.

Cross-Team Collaboration

Work alongside creative designers and multidisciplinary trade professionals (carpenters, welders, and painters).

Requirements Core Software Mastery

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp is required.

Bonus Software Skills

Experience with Autodesk Fusion 360 or Rhinoceros (Rhino) is a major plus.

Aesthetic Aptitude

A strong natural eye for design, detail-oriented mindset, and sharp spatial perception.

Growth Mindset

Highly open to learning and adapting to specialized playground structural design. (Note: Prior experience designing playgrounds is not required if you possess a strong design flair).
