About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Junior Barista to join our team at Sentana Coffee and Bistro in Yogyakarta Special Region. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your barista skills and grow within the hospitality industry. As a Junior Barista, you will be at the heart of our coffee service, creating high-quality beverages whilst delivering friendly, professional customer service. You will work in a collaborative team environment, learning from experienced baristas and contributing to the positive atmosphere our café is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks, filter coffee, and specialty coffee creations, to a high standard
• Operate and maintain espresso machines and other coffee equipment, ensuring all machinery is cleaned and well-maintained daily
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly recommendations and responding to customer requests
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation, including the service counter, stockroom, and beverage preparation areas
• Assist with the delivery of exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming environment for all guests
• Receive training on coffee varieties, brewing techniques, and flavour profiles to expand your coffee knowledge
• Contribute to the smooth operation of the café during peak and quiet service periods
• Support other team members and contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment
