Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive growth for high‑voltage electrical equipment in Jakarta, Indonesia. The role involves identifying opportunities, presenting technical solutions, and leading commercial negotiations with utility companies, EPCs, and large industrial clients.

The successful candidate will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to handover, collaborate with engineering and production teams, and support tender submissions while upholding quality and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of B2B sales or sales engineering in electrical equipment manufacturing or related industries.
• Experience with utility companies, EPC contractors, or large industrial customers.
• Proficient in English.
• Willing to complete initial training in Cikarang before being based in Jakarta.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and expand sales within power, utilities, EPC, industrial, mining, and oil & gas sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Deliver technical presentations, prepare commercial proposals, and recommend suitable electrical equipment solutions based on customer requirements.
• Monitor project pipelines, tender opportunities, and procurement activities related to power transmission and electrical infrastructure.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, quality, and project management teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Support tender submissions, contract negotiations, project documentation, and post-sales activities while ensuring compliance with company quality and safety standards.
• Conduct regular customer visits, site meetings, and industry networking activities to strengthen market presence and identify new opportunities.
