Job summary

SCHOTT AG, a leading supplier of hermetic housings and smart manufacturing solutions, seeks an IT Support and Infrastructure specialist in Bekasi to maintain robust computer systems and secure networks.

You will install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot hardware and software, manage user accounts, perform backups, and coordinate with vendors. The role requires Windows and Linux experience, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• 2–5 years IT support, system administration, or network engineering experience.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN).
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, and peripherals.
• Monitor and maintain IT systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Provide technical support to employees through phone, email, or onsite assistance.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Perform system upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Ensure the security of IT systems by implementing security policies, antivirus solutions, and software updates.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Maintain documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement, software licensing, and technical support.
• Support the implementation of new technologies and IT projects.
• Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and industry best practices.
• Experience in Smart Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 environments, with knowledge of operating systems such as Linux, SQL databases, and industrial/machine communication protocols being an advantage.
• Previous experience in working and supporting Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and solutions would be an advantage.

Your Contribution
