PT FUJI SEAT INDONESIA seeks a Japanese Interpreter & Training Liaison Officer to bridge communication between Indonesian employees and Japanese staff. The role supports training programs in Japan and facilitates interpretation and translation of technical materials.
The ideal candidate is fluent in Japanese and Indonesian with 1–2 years of interpretation experience, preferably from manufacturing or automotive contexts, and familiar with Kaizen and 5S practices.
The Japanese Interpreter & Training Liaison Officer is responsible for facilitating effective communication between Indonesian employees or trainees and Japanese instructors, supervisors, and management. The role serves as a communication bridge to support training activities, knowledge transfer, technical communication, and coordination between the Indonesian and Japanese teams. The position will also support employees or trainees who are preparing for or participating in training programs in Japan.
Provide Japanese–Indonesian interpretation during training and daily work activities
Translate SOPs, Work Instructions, training materials, safety materials, and technical documents
Support communication between Indonesian employees/trainees and Japanese instructors, supervisors, and management
Assist employees/trainees in understanding work procedures, safety standards, quality requirements, and Japanese workplace culture
Support preparation and coordination of training programs in Japan
Facilitate communication and resolve language or cultural misunderstandings
Coordinate with HR and Training & Development regarding training activities and requirements
Prepare training progress reports and documentation
Collect feedback from Japanese instructors/supervisors regarding trainee development
Follow up on training-related issues and coordinate with relevant departments
Fluent in Japanese and Indonesian, both spoken and written
Minimum 1–2 years of experience as Japanese Interpreter/Translator
Manufacturing or automotive industry experience is preferred
Experience supporting Japanese expatriates, trainees, technical interns, or Tokutei Ginou is an advantage
Familiar with Kaizen, 5S, Hou-Ren-Sou, and Japanese workplace culture
