Role Description

The Infrastructure and Security Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Jakarta. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and reliable IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and related systems. The engineer monitors system performance, manages backups and disaster recovery, and ensures high availability and scalability of infrastructure services. Day-to-day tasks include configuring security controls, managing firewalls and endpoint protection, performing vulnerability assessments, and responding to security incidents. The role also involves documenting infrastructure and security configurations, collaborating with cross-functional teams on projects, and supporting continuous improvement of IT operations and security posture.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong infrastructure skills such as server administration, virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and storage management.
• Candidates should possess core networking skills including TCP/IP, routing and switching, VLANs, VPNs, and network performance monitoring.
• Candidates should possess security skills such as firewall administration, intrusion detection/prevention, endpoint security, and vulnerability assessment and remediation.
• Candidates should possess skills in operating systems and platforms, including Linux and Windows Server administration, scripting for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Candidates should possess skills in monitoring and reliability, including the use of observability tools, log management, capacity planning, and backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Relevant academic background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Security+, CEH, AWS/Azure certifications) are an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Indonesian, and a willingness to continuously learn new technologies and security practices.
