We are looking for a hands-on Product Manager to support the rollout and continuous development of a proprietary hospitality operations platform for a boutique resort in Uluwatu, Bali.
The platform is already live across Front Office and Guest Relations, with Housekeeping, Engineering, and F&B planned as the next departments to be onboarded. The system brings guest, property, and team operations into one platform, combining dependable software with AI where language and judgment are required.
This is not a traditional Product Manager role where you simply collect requirements and hand them to developers. You will work directly with frontline resort teams, understand how they actually operate, drive adoption of the platform, translate operational feedback into product improvements, and where possible build smaller improvements yourself using AI-assisted development tools.
The objective over the 3 - 6 month engagement is clear: successfully embed the platform into daily resort operations and establish a sustainable feedback and improvement process.
Responsibilities
- Lead the product rollout and go-live across resort departments, including training, SOP development, initial floor support, and follow-up until adoption is established.
- Work directly with frontline employees and supervisors to understand existing workflows, manual processes, pain points, and workarounds.
- Translate existing operational processes into clear and practical workflows within the platform.
- Monitor product adoption and ensure operational data is accurate, complete, and actively used by each department.
- Gather feedback directly from users by observing day-to-day operations and shadowing frontline teams.
- Prioritize product requests based on their potential impact on guest experience, operational performance, reviews, and revenue.
- Prototype and implement smaller product improvements using AI coding tools, with the backend engineering team reviewing and deploying changes to production.
- Create clear technical/product specifications and acceptance criteria for improvements requiring engineering support.
- Work closely with backend developers to ensure operational requirements are translated effectively into product changes.
- Communicate completed improvements back to users and evaluate whether the changes achieved the intended results.
- Create concise and practical SOPs, product documentation, and rollout playbooks that can be reused for future properties and implementations.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in Product Management, Operations, Systems Implementation, or a related role, ideally involving software used by frontline teams.
- Proven ability to work between business/operations and technology, translating operational problems into technical requirements and technical constraints into understandable business terms.
- Experience implementing or rolling out software to end users, with an understanding of the challenges surrounding user adoption and change management.
- Hands‑on and technically comfortable you don't need to be a senior software engineer, but you should be capable of making smaller product changes independently.
- Comfortable using AI coding/development tools.
- Ability to read and make changes to a Next.js frontend and/or Python endpoint.
- Working knowledge of Git and SQL.
- Strong ability to create clear, concise and practical SOPs, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Comfortable working directly with frontline operational teams rather than managing the product exclusively from behind a laptop.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize improvements based on measurable business impact.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Able to work fully on-site in Uluwatu, Bali for the duration of the 3–6 month contract.
- Hospitality experience is an advantage, but not required.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role will primarily be measured by two things: how successfully each department adopts the platform as part of its daily operations, and how effectively user requests are resolved or translated into product improvements.
Ultimately, the goal is not simply to launch software, but to make the platform how the resort actually operates every day.
What You’ll Get
- A clearly defined project with a tangible goal and finish line.
- Direct access to the product. Your improvements will reach real users.
- A short decision making process with direct influence on the product roadmap.
- The opportunity to see the impact of your work directly through operational performance, guest reviews, and revenue.
- Hands‑on experience shaping a live product used in real world hospitality operations.
