Job summary

Google is seeking an Indonesian Language Manager in Jakarta to own localization quality and shape Google's voice for Indonesia. You will lead language strategy across Google products and ensure culturally resonant content for Indonesian users.

You will collaborate with Marketing, Product, and PR teams to enable native language experiences, develop Indonesian guidelines, and leverage AI-driven quality initiatives to scale high-quality localization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience within creative, localization, translation, journalism, public communications, or the online marketing/advertising industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of market expectations for localization quality and create language strategy for native language experiences.
• Be a critical partner for Indonesia-focused teams with Marketing, Product, and PR to enable native language experiences for Google's products for Indonesian users.
• Engage regularly with local stakeholders to understand priorities and share updates on language strategy and localization services.
• Create and evolve Indonesian language guidelines and language strategy for Google, considering user input, stakeholders, and trends.
• Develop understanding of the Indonesia market and user expectations for Indonesian language quality and how to use language to meet market needs; propose studies and insights.
