Job summary

Google seeks a Government Affairs and Public Policy Senior Manager for Indonesia to lead engagement with the Indonesian government and key stakeholders. You will set strategic priorities and drive policy initiatives across AI, cybersecurity, content regulation, anti-fraud, and competition.

You will mentor a small high-performing team, build coalitions with industry partners, academics, and civil society, and monitor regulatory developments to guide Google's direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 14 years of experience working on technology policy issues within government, think tanks, public interest groups, law, or relevant industry associations.
• 5 years of experience in people management.

Responsibilities

• Represent Google at the highest levels of policy-making in Indonesia, building external engagement plans and partnering with executives on high-stakes government engagements.
• Formulate and execute comprehensive public policy strategies aligned with business goals, advocating for Google's interests across AI, cybersecurity, content regulation, anti-fraud, and competition.
• cultivate a robust network of industry associations, civil society groups, academics, and third-party allies to advance open internet policies and user-focused digital frameworks.
• Anticipate and analyze legislative developments to deliver actionable business impact assessments, guiding leadership through regulatory ambiguity and critical crisis situations.
• Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing public policy team, setting strategic priorities, managing resources, and cultivating a culture focused on career development and impact.
