Kite Dining in Bali, Indonesia leads a hands-on bar operation to craft cocktails and manage the beverage program in harmony with Chef Kin’s culinary vision. You will mentor bartenders, control costs, and uphold the highest standards to deliver a remarkable guest experience.
The role requires 4–5 years of bartending, 2+ years in leadership, deep cocktail knowledge, and strong English, enabling you to train staff and collaborate across the kitchen and service teams.
This is a hands-on leadership position. You will be responsible for the day-to-day bar operation, cocktail execution, team development, inventory and cost control, while working closely with Chef Kin and the management team on the overall beverage program. You will lead the bar program and help create a beverage experience that complements Chef Kin's food.
Lead the day-to-day operation of the bar and ensure smooth, efficient service.
Maintain consistently high standards for cocktails, beverages, presentation, and guest experience.
Work with Chef Kin and the management team to develop and maintain a creative beverage program that complements the food.
Train, mentor, and develop bartenders and bar team members.
Ensure recipes, preparation methods, and presentation standards are followed consistently.
Maintain excellent knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Provide knowledgeable and approachable beverage recommendations to guests.
Manage beverage inventory, ordering, stock rotation, and regular stocktakes.
Monitor beverage costs, yields, portioning, and wastage.
Work closely with the Restaurant Manager, kitchen, and service teams to create a seamless guest experience.
Minimum 4-5 years of professional bartending experience in quality restaurants, bars, or luxury hospitality.
Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or bar leadership position.
Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, and beverage preparation.
Good understanding of wine, proper wine service, and basic food and wine pairing.
Experience with beverage costing, inventory management, and stock control.
Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
Good command of spoken English.
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
