Job summary

JAPFA Group is seeking a Commercial Hatchery Operator for the CF Lengkong facility. The role ensures efficient operation of hatchery equipment to produce high-quality chicks and supports overall poultry operations.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, experience in a hatchery or similar setting, and a solid understanding of hatchery processes. Responsibilities include data recording, biosecurity, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a commercial hatchery or similar setting preferred.
• Basic understanding of poultry farming and hatchery operations.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot basic hatchery machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate hatchery equipment (incubators, hatchers, ventilation) and monitor performance.
• Perform regular checks and maintenance and report issues.
• Assist egg setting, chick processing (vaccination, sexing, grading) and dispatch.
• Record data on egg settings, hatch rates, chick quality and environmental parameters.
• Follow biosecurity and sanitation procedures.
• Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, CO2) and adjust as needed.
• Identify abnormalities in egg or chick quality and report to supervisor.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Comply with company policies, safety regulations and industry standards.
