Job summary

PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk is seeking a diligent Commercial Hatchery Operator at the CF Lengkong facility to run hatchery equipment and processes, ensuring high-quality chick production for the company's poultry operations.

You will monitor incubators, hatchers and ventilation, perform routine maintenance, assist with egg setting and chick processing, record key data, uphold strict biosecurity and animal welfare, and report issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a commercial hatchery or similar setting preferred.
• Basic understanding of poultry farming principles and hatchery operations.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot basic hatchery machinery.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Basic literacy and numeracy for data recording.
• Knowledge of biosecurity protocols is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor hatchery equipment including incubators, hatchers, and ventilation systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance and report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Assist with egg setting, chick processing, and chick dispatch activities.
• Record data on egg settings, hatch rates, chick quality, and environmental parameters.
• Uphold strict biosecurity procedures and sanitation protocols in the hatchery.
• Monitor environment (temperature, humidity, CO2) and adjust for embryo development and chick health.
• Identify abnormalities and report to supervisor.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
