Job summary

Japfa is seeking a Farm Operations Manager for its CF Lengkong henhouse site to lead daily farming activities, ensure chicken health, welfare and profitable production, and enforce company policies. You will oversee feeding, housing, welfare, biosecurity, records, staff supervision, and compliance with SOPs while coordinating with veterinarians, nutritionists and logistics.

The ideal candidate holds a related degree and at least 3 years in commercial poultry farming with supervisory experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Husbandry, Poultry Science, Agriculture or related field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years in commercial poultry farming with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of poultry health, nutrition and welfare principles.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent record-keeping and data analysis skills.
• Knowledge of biosecurity protocols and their implementation.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the commercial henhouse including feeding, watering, lighting, ventilation and litter management.
• Monitor chicken health and welfare and implement preventative measures under veterinary guidance.
• Supervise and train farm staff and ensure SOPs and safety protocols are followed.
• Maintain production data, feed consumption, mortality rates and other farm metrics.

Job Summary

Responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of a commercial henhouse facility, ensuring optimal chicken health, welfare, and production within the CF Lengkong site. This role involves overseeing all aspects of daily farm management, staff supervision, and adherence to company policies and industry regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the commercial henhouse, including feeding, watering, lighting, ventilation, and litter management.
• Monitor chicken health and welfare, implementing preventative measures and administering treatments as needed under veterinary guidance.
• Supervise and train farm staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, feed consumption, mortality rates, and other relevant farm metrics.
• Implement and enforce biosecurity measures to prevent disease outbreaks and maintain a healthy flock.
• Manage inventory of feed, medications, and other farm supplies, ensuring timely procurement and efficient usage.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment, coordinating maintenance and repairs as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant animal welfare regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Prepare regular reports on farm performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments, including veterinarians, nutritionists, and logistics, to optimize overall farm efficiency.
