Job summary

Aloft Hotels in Surabaya is seeking a friendly Restaurant Server to greet guests, seat them, and guide them to seats while maintaining clean, well-prepared tables in a bustling dining area.

You will ensure current menus are available, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. A high school diploma is required; no prior experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: No related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and determine party size.
• Seat guests by finding a clean, available table and preparing it.
• Guide guests through dining rooms and assist as needed.
• Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings for groups; ensure proper place settings.
• Check menus for currency, cleanliness, and accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and follow clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating, service, safety, and guest wellbeing.
• Follow policies and report accidents or unsafe conditions to management.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of information.
• Welcome guests according to standards and communicate clearly with colleagues.
• Develop positive relationships with team; support goals and respond to concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; stand or walk for extended periods.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by Supervisors.
