Job summary

PT. AEON Indonesia is seeking an Assistant Line Manager to support daily grocery operations, ensuring smooth workflows and minimizing disruptions.

You will implement manpower strategies, oversee merchandise handling and backroom management, and ensure all departments meet targets while reducing shrinkage. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in supermarket operations, strong Excel skills, leadership and analytical abilities, and willingness to work shifting schedules at AEON stores

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supermarket or hypermarket operations, preferably at an assistant managerial level.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supermarket operations and daily store processes.
• Good analytical thinking with a strong commercial mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong leadership, coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiar with inventory management, shrinkage control and merchandising principles.
• Willing to work on a shifting schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
• Willing to be placed at any AEON Store based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Line Manager in overseeing daily grocery operations to ensure smooth workflows and minimal disruptions.
• Implement effective manpower management strategies to optimize efficiency.
• Oversee merchandise handling, stock availability, and backroom management.
• Ensure all departments meet performance targets and operational standards.
• Manage and minimize shrinkage through proper inventory control and loss prevention strategies.
• Analyze sales trends, category performance, and customer buying behavior to drive revenue growth.
• Identify inefficiencies in store operations and implement improvement initiatives.
