Job summary

Shopee Internasional Indonesia is seeking a Governance, Risk, Compliance & PMO professional in Jakarta to develop data governance policies, monitor risks, and manage assurance trackers. You will coordinate with Corporate Risk and stakeholders, prepare reports, and support audits and credentialing efforts.

The role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English. Based in Indonesia, collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, management, law, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in data governance, risk management, compliance, or PMO.
• Experience with data management, audits, or project management is valued.
• Strong organization and communication across teams in English and Indonesian.

Governance, Risk, Compliance & PMO - SPX Express

The Compliance and Risk Management team ensures that Shopee complies with applicable regulations and is primed for success with the right checks and balances while safeguarding the interests of our stakeholders in an inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem.The team manages potential risks to the company's operations and reputation through risk assessments, internal fraud control, employee training as well as the implementation of information technology policy and cyber security tools.

Job Description:

• Develop and maintain data governance policies, standards, procedures, and awareness programs, while monitoring adherence to applicable data protection requirements.
• Identify, assess, and monitor data-related risks and access controls, and support data incident response activities, including investigation, escalation, remediation, and follow-up.
• Manage centralized risk and assurance trackers, coordinate regular reviews with Corporate Risk and relevant PICs, monitor action item progress, collect supporting evidence, and proactively escalate overdue or at-risk items.
• Prepare management reports and perform validation activities to assess the progress, completion, and sustainable implementation of risk and assurance improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and monitor company certifications and personnel credentials, coordinate certification and recertification activities, proactively track renewal and audit requirements, and support compliance audits and related reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Management, Law, or related field
• 1-2 years of working experience, with prior exposure to data governance, risk management, compliance, and/or PMO
• Project experience involving data management, audit support, or project management is valued; in Logistics industry is a plus
• Basic understanding of data governance concepts or internal audit processes is an advantage
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple registers, trackers, and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong follow-through and persistence, comfortable in following up repeatedly & professionally with stakeholders across the organization
• Clear & structured communication in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, able to write concise status updates, meeting notes, and summaries
• Collaborative & willing to learn, open to guidance, able to take direction, and adapt quickly
• High integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive data and risk matters
• Experience in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (e.g. pivot table and formulas) and PowerPoint / Google Slides for reporting & dashboards
