Job summary

PT SAMINDO TRIMITRA CHEMINDO is seeking an Import Purchasing Specialist to oversee local and import procurement, manage documentation, and ensure timely delivery aligned with project requirements. The role requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, at least three years in export/import or import purchasing, strong negotiation skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1st Degree (S1) in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in Export Import Staff / Import Purchasing.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with foreign suppliers.
• Understanding of import processes including Incoterms, HS Code, PIB, PEB, COO, BL, Invoice, Packing List.
• Familiarity with customs regulations, import taxation, and related licensing.
• Experience in vendor selection, evaluation and tender processes.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Ability to operate MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of KLH, INSW and INATRADE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct purchasing and procurement activities for local and import goods and services.
• Prepare and ensure completeness of import documents (Invoice, Packing List, B/L, COO, PIB, PEB, HS Code, Lartas).
• Coordinate with forwarders, customs, and agencies for smooth clearance.
• Ensure delivery on time according to project and company requirements.
• Negotiate and arrange contracts with suppliers.
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes for imported materials.
• Prepare cost analyses and recommendations to optimize import purchasing processes.
• Perform cost calculations for imported goods and contribute to project budgeting.
• Maintain English communication with foreign suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Utilize ERP systems and MS Excel for procurement tracking and reporting.
