Job summary

PT Arnawarma Mineral Jaya (AMJ) is conducting field geological surveys and mapping to assess mineral/geological formations in Indonesia. You will collect samples, analyze data, and prepare detailed reports with assay data and mineralogical assessments.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in mining geology or exploration, strong mapping/mineralogy skills, and proficiency with Surpac/Leapfrog. English and Indonesian communication is essential; experience with 3D modelling is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience, Mining Geology or related discipline.
• 2-4 years of professional mining geology or exploration experience.
• Strong knowledge of geological mapping techniques and mineralogy.
• Proficiency with Surpac/Leapfrog or similar software.
• Experience with geological data collection and analysis methodologies.

Job description

Conduct field geological surveys and mapping activities to identify and assess mineral and geological formations

Collect, analyse and interpret geological samples and data from exploration sites

Prepare detailed geological reports and documentation including assay data analysis and mineralogical assessments

Support the development and execution of exploration programmes and drilling strategies

Maintain accurate geological databases and ensure proper documentation of all field work and findings

Liaise with mining engineers and other technical teams to ensure geological data informs operational decisions

Conduct risk assessments related to geological conditions and site stability

Ensure compliance with geological and environmental standards and regulations

Contribute to resource estimation and reserve evaluation activities

Provide technical support during site visits and operational activities

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience, Mining Geology or related discipline from a recognised institution

2-4 years of professional experience in mining geology, exploration geoscience or related field work (preferable experience in Nickel Mining)

Strong knowledge of geological mapping techniques and mineralogy

Proficiency with geological software and databases, such as Surpac, Leapfrog or similar programmes

Experience with geological data collection and analysis methodologies

Excellent field work capabilities and comfort working in remote or challenging environments

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Indonesian

Professional registration or certification as a geologist is preferred

Experience with 3D modelling and resource estimation is advantageous
