The opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional General Manager for Naval Architect & Engineering Shipyard to lead our shipyard operations and engineering division. This is a full-time position based in Jakarta and several site, offering a strategic leadership role within our organisation. As General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of naval architecture, engineering design, shipyard operations, and project delivery. You will drive operational excellence, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure that all projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from a recognised institution
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in naval architecture, marine engineering, or shipyard operations, with at least 5 years in a senior management or general management role
• Proven expertise in vessel design, construction methodologies, and marine engineering principles
• Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations, classification society rules, and industry standards (DNV, ABS, Lloyds, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale engineering and construction projects from concept to completion
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within budget and schedule constraints
• Strong business acumen and experience in budgeting, cost control, and profitability management
• Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing diverse, multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies
• Computer proficiency in CAD software, project management tools, and enterprise systems
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental management systems relevant to shipyard operations
