Job summary
Grab is seeking an Engineering Manager II for Fulfilment, based on-site in Jakarta. You will lead a team of software engineers, drive the engineering roadmap, and collaborate with product, data science, analytics and operations to deliver reliable fulfillment capabilities.
You will stay technically fluent while empowering senior ICs to lead architecture decisions, reporting to the Senior Software Engineering Manager. This role is Jakarta-based and on-site.
Qualifications
- Min. 8 years of software engineering experience, incl. production systems at scale.
- Min. 2 years of experience managing software engineers.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI, incl. evaluation, prompts and monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team of software engineers with growth plans.
- Partner with product, data science, analytics and ops to define roadmaps.
- Own planning and delivery of engineering roadmap, manage risks.
- Set technical direction with senior engineers and make trade-offs.
- Improve reliability, scalability, security, observability and cost efficiency.
- Establish engineering practices: design reviews, testing, deployment, incidents.
- Foster inclusive environment with clarity and ownership.
- Attract, assess and retain engineers and support hiring.
- Communicate progress and decisions to tech and non-tech teams.
